A resin bound patio surface has been installed at a Sunderland property by exterior resin flooring experts Resin Flooring North East Ltd.

The spalled and defective concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new resin bound paving system. Once prepared the surface was vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

The defective concrete substrate was then repaired using an epoxy mortar. The area was then primed with a fast curing epoxy resin primer and then broadcast with a coarse dried aggregate and allowed to cure.

The Resin bound surfacing was then applied to the prepared patio surface at a depth of 22mm by trowel forming a seamless, highly decorative, low maintenance surface. Fully SuDs compliant. The stone chosen for this project in Sunderland was 2mm - 5mm Harvest Crunch supplied by Long Rake Spar.
